Discovery Camp
7-12
Kids 7-12 years old will enjoy a week of discovery at one of our Discovery Camps. They will have many opportunities to discover something new about themselves, about the world or about the people around them. Campers will have the opportunity to select two electives from any of the six program areas: waterfront, challenge course, arts & crafts, wildlife & nature, or sports and athletics. Additionally, they will have chapel, special cabin activities, free time activities, camp-wide activities and of course an evening campfire full of fun games, songs and skits.

Wilderness Camp
13-17
Wilderness Camp takes place on Camp Gifford’s property in an area known as Camp Cougar. Wilderness camp is rustic - it embraces the the beauty of outdoor living in our rustic woodland cabins. Camp Cougar doesn't have electricity, but it does have so many opportunities for fun!
Campers will engage in teambuilding experiences, learn outdoor living skills, and go kayaking and hiking around the property. This program is designed to teach outdoor living skills, create safe challenges, and give campers the opportunity to experience Christ in creation all while maintaining the exciting feel of a summer camp.

SAY/Music
7-16
SAY Camp (Salvation Army Youth) is designed for children already engaging with corps programs at their local Salvation Army church. These children are actively engaged in scout-like programs called Troops (Sunbeams, Girl Guards, Adventure Corps) and come to camp to earn specific badges that are only offered during a camp stay.

In addition to adventure badges, campers also have the opportunity to study music and the arts. Classes include timbrels, drums and rhythm, and keyboard.

Registration for SAY Camp is only available through your local Salvation Army church.

Sailing Camp
13-17
Camp Gifford is proud to offer sailing camp to teens aged 13-17. In addition to all the benefits of being at camp for summer, sailing campers will also get a unique opportunity to learn the basics of sailing. Certified sailing instructors will teach your sailing camper the basics of setting sail on Deer Lake.

Sailing camps are two-week sessions, with a weekend off in between. When your camper is not out on the water, they'll have time to hike, hit the challenge course, and gather as a camp for chapels and campfires. Not a bad way to spend a few weeks!
