POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

COUNSELOR -  In this position you will oversee approx. 8 -10 children for five days and nights, twenty-four hours a day. Tiring, but truly rewarding. Base pay is $160.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 18.  [top]

LIFEGUARD (Two needed) - Primary responsibility is to guard the waterfront area (including boats, fishing area, etc.). In addition you will be called on to help with other programming needs (e.g., campfire, chapel). Lifesaving Certificate required. Base pay $140.00/week plus room and board. (W.S.I. WILDERNESS COUNSELOR (two male, two female) - Responsible for continuous supervision of youth ages 13-16 in a Wilderness Camping program.  Knowledge of camping skills and/or outdoor education is beneficial. Base pay is $170.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 18.  [top]

Two types of jobs are available - Regular Employment and Staff In Training (S.I.T.).  Staff in Training positions are not regular paid employment.  In place of a weekly wage S.I.T. positions are paid a stipend.  S.I.T. positions do not require any past experience and are designed to be opportunities to develop marketable skills and to develop, within our camping environment, into self-confident young Christian men and women.  The stipend may be supplemented with "support" income as discussed below to make the jobs more financially worthwhile.

Salaries shown are base salaries and vary dynamically from job to job. 

All these jobs require the ability to show and teach the love of Jesus Christ in word, action and attitude. Each employee will be expected to share their personal Christian experience with the children.

REGULAR EMPLOYMENT -

PROGRAM DIRECTOR - This person has the responsibility of overseeing (and participating in) all summer programming, managing and directing of staff; generally assures camp runs smoothly. Some proof of programming ability or experience will be required. Base pay is $200.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age 21 (experience and references a must).  [top]

RECREATION DIRECTOR - This person assists the Program Director in the general management of the summer program.  Specific attention will be given to recreational activities throughout the day. Some proof of programming ability or experience will be required. Base pay is $180.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age 18 (w/excellent references).  [top]

LEAD COUNSELOR / PROG. ASSISTANT  - Helps supervise and support counseling staff.  Acts as an liaison between program and counselor staff. Assists with and supports program and recreation.  Assists with Christian Education.  Base pay is $170.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 18 w/experience.  [top]

VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - This person works with our large base of young volunteers as well as our SEARCH Crew candidates.  You need to be able to balance the needs of the volunteer, the program and the camp (sometimes all three are in conflict).  Position is also responsible for spiritual teaching of volunteers.  Good organization skills are important.  Compassion and patience are a must! CAMP HEALTH MANAGER - Dispenses medications to campers and staff.   Provides immediate care for all campers and camp personnel.  Interacts with local doctors and hospitals to ensure support and care is available.  Keeps detailed logs of medications dispensed and care given.   (depending on experience) per week plus room and board. APPLICANT MUST HAVE NURSING DEGREE (RN, LPN, LVN) or EMT CERTIFICATION. Base pay is $300.00 - 500.00 plus room and board (depending on experience and level of certification).  Minimum age, 21.  [top]

CRAFT DIRECTOR - Purchases all craft supplies. Plans and oversees all craft programming. Must have knowledge of working with lanyards, plaster, etc. (camp stuff). Base pay is 140.00 (depending on experience) per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 18.  [top]

FIRST COOK - Assists Foodservice Manager in operation of Camp Kitchen. Must have cooking experience and ability to lead and organize others. Health Card is required. Base pay is $160.00+ per week (depending on experience), plus room and board. Minimum age, 18.  [top]

SECOND COOK - Assists First Cook in operation of Camp Kitchen. Must have cooking experience and ability to lead and organize others. Health Card is required. Base pay is $120.00+ per week (depending on experience), plus room and board. Minimum age, 17.   [top]

WILDERNESS DIRECTOR - Responsible for planning and overseeing the Wilderness Camping program for youth ages 13-17.  Applicants need to have some outdoor education experience, good leadership skills and knowledge of basic orienteering and camping skills.  Base pay is $220.00 per week plus room and board. LOGISTICS PERSON FOR WILDERNESS PROGRAM - Responsible for behind the scenes work at our Wilderness Camp.  Help with cooking, programming, delivery of supplies, etc.  Health Card is required.  Base pay is $100.00 per week ($140.00/wk with Lifeguard Cert.) plus room and board. Minimum age 16 (with some cooking experience and strong references).  [top]

THIRD COOK (2 half-summer positions) - Assists in meal preparation and clean-up of meals. Health Card is required. Stipend while training is $50.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 16.  [top]

KITCHEN HELPERS (four half-summer positions) - Help in kitchen by: Washing dishes, cleaning, mopping floors, some food prep. Health Card is required. Stipend while training is $50.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 15.  [top]

DINING HALL MAINTENANCE (four half-summer positions) - Maintain the cleanliness of the dining hall area;  Set tables prior to meals; maintain bathrooms within dining hall. Stipend while training is $50.00 per week plus room and board. Minimum age, 15.  [top]

MAINTENANCE (four half-summer positions) - Cleans, sweeps, picks up, etc. Helps Camp Caretaker with everything ranging from cleaning bathrooms to physical remodels (depending on experience).
